Level 1 - Junior School - (Years 1-2) - Teacher Training

Anyone Can Read’s Junior School programme introduces and implements effective pre reader and early reader skills and strategies. In developing the knowledge and skill of the teacher it eradicates reading failure from this vital areas of the school. 

This programme is aligned with the Early Reader Support Programme - Staff accredited - Confidentiality Clause applies.

 Cost is on an individual school basis/number of teachers involved.

 Level 2 (8-12 year olds)

Teacher Training - Middle/Senior Primary/Intermediate

Three stage training process designed to achieve 100% success with students having up to three years delay- hands on/interactive. Firstly teachers observe the programme in action and then participate in theory sessions that explain the key aspects. 

In phase two teachers develop and use the skills under guidance while working with real students - guided by step by step manuals.

Stage three is the implementation of the skills into the classroom.

 Whole Class/Teacher combined Training - Middle/Senior Primary

Whole class tuition that lifts the reading level of all students to age level or above and trains the teacher in the diagnostic analysis of/effective interventions for students maximum of three years reading delay. 

This programme requires two terms of twice weekly sessions. 

Staff become accredited ACR users - School user licence applies - Confidentiality clause applies.

Specialist Teacher/Senco/LSC Training - Primary 

This 10 session programme integrates training/theory sessions within a framework of actual instruction ie working with reading delayed students (up to three years). This give authenticity to the skills being taught and confidence to the participants in that they can successfully intervene.  

This programme gives effective intervention strategies for Dyslexic/Non Dyslexic and ADHD students that are 3 years or less below age level in reading.

Literacy Teacher Training - College - Level 1

This programme recognises that College level reading failure is often severe and has a major effect on a students schooling as well as their  psychological and emotional well being - a difficult but rewarding group.

Successful intervention techniques/strategies are learned in the context of working with high risk students - the student and the school set objectives in consultation with parents and aim to achieve a minimum of three years of reading age improvement.

Literacy Teacher Training - College - Level 2

Level 2 recognises that higher level reading skills such as Inferential and Critical Reading are an essential element to achieving qualifications such as NCEA etc - 10 session programme. 

Literacy Teachers must be accredited ACR users at Level 1.
